Sun SEA Capital
Sun SEA Capital is a venture capital fund investing in Series-A and early Series-B stage startups across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The fund is managed collaboratively by Sunway Group and professional technology investor KK Fund. This collaboration between two industry successes allows for the discovery of untapped potential across the greater Southeast Asian region. Investments range from USD 1 million to 3 million for minority equity.
Co-working space for entrepreneurs
iLabs is a unique, not-for-profit concept where Sunway University, Sunway Group, and Sunway Ventures (Sunway’s Corporate Venture Capital arm) work closely together in a collaborative space to foster entrepreneurship and stimulate market-driven innovations. And the it does not stop there. iLabs is also syncing with the wider start-up ecosystem in Malaysia and abroad through collaborations and strategic partnerships, to enable entrepreneurs to scale their business faster.

President's Office, Sunway Group
Evan is the EVP, President’s Office in Sunway Group and his roles include overseeing the Group’s digital initiatives, Sunway Ventures and China businesses amongst others. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce & Bachelor of Business System Degree from Monash University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder, Certified Public Accountant, and a Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Lee Soong Hwa
Chief Executive Officer
Soong Hwa is CEO of Sunway Ventures and Director - Corporate Office, China. He has over 10 years of business experience in China. Before Sunway, he worked at Schlumberger and also as an accountant attached to the Singapore Ministry of Finance. He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from NTU, Singapore, and he is a certified ACCA and MIA member.
Chief Revenue Officer
Nick manages the operations of select portfolio companies and explores new venture building opportunities. Previously, he launched and led the digital business for a media company. He also did stints at a multi-strategy hedge fund and investment banking. He completed an executive program at INSEAD and graduated with honours from DePauw University.
Seng Teong Chua
Chua has over 15 years experience as a startup entrepreneur, consultant and venture capitalist. Prior to joining Sunway, he founded a Fintech startup that was successfully sold and a machine learning startup integrated with top e-commerce sites. Before that he was with a VC in Germany where he helped developed a 29 country e-commerce business, with the European business exiting to Google. ST holds an MBA from INSEAD, France.
Annie is an investment associate at Sunway Ventures joining the team in 2016, specializes in tech-startup and media investments. Prior to Sunway Ventures, Annie worked under Assurance services, PwC Malaysia. Annie holds a Degree in Commerce, majoring in Accounting from Monash University and is a CFA Level III Candidate.
Suet Yun Loo
As a chartered accountant, Yun has worked in Deals advisory for one of the Big Four Accounting Firms. She studied at BPP University where she completed her professional studies under the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant. Here at Ventures, Yun specializes in logistics and e-health startups.
Warren had completed Bachelors’ in Business and Commerce (Honours) majoring in Banking & Finance from Monash University Australia. He had worked in a Financial Planning firm in Australia prior to joining Sunway Ventures. Currently, Warren is involved in managing logistic portfolio and digital media investments.
